  42. Actually, I recommend this circuit... I built it when I was a kid and
  43. hung it on the front of a modified Philco table radio and it worked very
  44. nicely to the point where the rotten selectivity of the radio was a problem.
  45. The manufacturer probably never expected anyone to tear windings off the
  46. AM loopstick to move it to 80M.

  58. The book you may be looking for is called "Care and feeding of 
  59. POWER GRID TUBES" by Varian EIMAC. The copyright is 1967 and I
  60. have a copy of the fourth printing which was in 1982. The Library of 
  61. Congress number is 67-30070.  The book has about 160 pages and
  62. covers just about everything a designer needs to know about
  63. power tubes.  The price printed on the cover is $5.95 in the US.
  64. I got my copy for free from Varian EIMAC Division, 301 Industrial
  65. Way, San Carlos, CA 94070.

  88. (counting a 2-winding tapped inductor as one part!) xmtr from either
  89. 73 or Ham Radio magazine.  The design was "Thanks to WB6OMV" and
  90. supposedly (I've NOT built one) ran about TWO WATTS output:

  171. spell out 1-800-JAN-XTAL and 1-800-ICM-XTAL.  I wonder if the companies
